✝️ We Don’t Serve God For Blessings — We Serve God For Who He Is
Hey family 🙏 it’s Mervin Timothy Reyes, and today’s message goes straight to the heart of Christian living — our reason for serving God. In a world where faith is often portrayed as a means to gain blessings, wealth, or comfort, this vlog brings us back to the true foundation of relationship with God: love, reverence, and obedience — not transactions.
If you’ve ever wondered, “Why am I serving God?”, then this episode will help you realign your heart and rediscover the joy of worshipping Him simply because He is worthy.
🌿 Serving God For Who He Is, Not For What He Gives
We live in an age of instant results — fast food, fast internet, fast answers. Sadly, that mindset has crept into the church. Many people serve God expecting quick rewards: financial blessings, miracles, open doors. But serving God isn’t about getting — it’s about giving your heart to Him completely. ❤️
God isn’t a vending machine that dispenses blessings when we pray. He’s our Creator, our Savior, and our eternal King. We serve Him because He is holy, righteous, merciful, and faithful — even when life doesn’t go our way.
“Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.” — Job 13:15
Job’s story teaches us that real faith is tested in seasons of loss, not abundance. When everything around you crumbles, and you still say, “God, You are good,” that’s when heaven applauds.
🔥 The Heart Of True Worship
Worship isn’t about emotion — it’s about devotion.
True worshipers aren’t motivated by blessings, but by awe of who God is.
✅ He is the Alpha and Omega — the beginning and the end.
✅ He is the One who loved us before we were even born.
✅ He is faithful even when we fail.
✅ He is merciful when we don’t deserve it.
When we serve God for who He is, not for what He can do, our faith becomes unshakable.
💔 When Blessings Delay
Many believers fall away when prayers aren’t answered right away. They say, “I served God, and nothing happened.” But friend, something did happen — your faith was being tested and refined.
Serving God during dry seasons builds spiritual muscles. It teaches patience, trust, and endurance. God doesn’t withhold blessings to punish us; He delays them to develop us.
“Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” — Matthew 6:33
When your focus is on Him, not things, blessings will naturally follow.
🌅 Relationship Over Reward
Imagine a child who only loves their parent for gifts — not love. That’s not real relationship. In the same way, God desires sons and daughters, not spiritual consumers.
Our walk with Him should be built on intimacy, not incentives.
Serve God with sincerity. Love Him for His presence, not His presents.
When you shift your heart from “What can I get?” to “How can I glorify You, Lord?”, everything changes. Peace floods your soul, purpose fills your heart, and your life becomes a living testimony of His grace.
🕊️ Living For His Glory
Whether you’re a digital entrepreneur, content creator, or a believer walking through life’s valleys — serve God with integrity. Let your videos, your business, your family, and your lifestyle reflect His character.
Serving God with pure motives means using your gifts to make Him known, not yourself famous. It means giving Him your best, even when no one is watching. It means trusting that eternal rewards far outweigh temporary applause.
🌍 Take This With You
Don’t serve God to be blessed — serve Him because He already blessed you with Himself.
Jesus is the greatest treasure you could ever have.
The cross was enough. His presence is enough. His love is enough.
